Case Scenario 1: Childhood
A mother visits her child's physician for a consultation about immunizations for her two-month-old. This young child has not received vaccines to date because of parental concerns about vaccine safety; discussion concerning vaccine safety and recommended vaccines for young children is reviewed. Conversations continue during subsequent visits for the child when she reaches 6 months and also at 12 months.

Case Scenario 2: Adolescent
A mother has an appointment to discuss immunization recommendations for her 11-year-old daughter. Topics discussed include the human papillomavirus vaccine, the meningococcal vaccine, the Tdap vaccine, and annual influenza vaccination.
